Seven national high schools in Iloilo are new recipients of the 2007 iSchools Project.
After the evaluation conducted by Prof. Blas Bargo, the Information and Technology Coordinator of the Capiz State University, the public schools listed below qualified to recieve the 2007 project of the iSchools. The process of assessing the qualifications of these schools was done a week after the briefing conducted by the CICT at the Development Academy of the Philippine Conference Center held on May 26-28, 2008
The recipient schools are the following:
· Batad National High School, Batad, Iloilo
· Batad National High School Extension
· Bingawan National High School, Bingawan, Iloilo
· Esteban S. Javellana Memorial High School, Calinog, Iloilo
· Luca National High School, Ajuy, Iloilo
· Tina National High School, Badiangan, Iloilo
· San Fernando National High School, Carles,Iloilo
The mentioned schools met the following qualifications:
· The school has no existing computer laboratory
· Good number of fourth year students
· The school can provide other facilities such as electricity, computer tables, and other equipment needed.
'The students of those schools can now enjoy and can learn more about the use of computers as an integral part of their high school education,' said Prof. Bargo.
